Cofounder & Consultant
Katie Culver, Ph.D
Katie Culver is co-founder of EQuicentric Consulting, helping organizations to create more inclusive and equitable policies, strategies, and cultures. Additionally, she serves as a Professional Learning Specialist in the Office of Leadership Development at the School District of Philadelphia. Most recently, Katie has been working with a team from The Privilege Institute, to develop an Antiracist Leadership Institute for Leaders. Formerly an adjunct faculty member at Temple University teaching Race and Diversity classes, she also worked with the founding team of the Philadelphia Learning Collaborative and served as the Academic Coordinator at Steppingstone Scholars. Katie earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies/Urban Education from Temple University, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Trinity University, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in Peace and Justice Studies from Villanova University. She regularly attends and presents at conferences and enjoys walking, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family and two rescue dogs.

Carissa Casey, M.A.
Carissa Casey is co-founder of EQuicentric Consulting. She is also an advocate and leader for human-centered experiences that promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work. Currently, she is the Service Learning Program Director at the Westover School in Connecticut. Additionally, she is pursuing her doctorate at Drexel University in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Human Resource Development. As a trained SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) Leader, Carissa continuously facilitates professional development experiences that explore and challenge the systems of oppression, dominance, and privilege. She also regularly presents at DEI conferences with a focus on implicit bias. As an individual outside of work, Carissa enjoys staying active through hiking, traveling, and chasing around her toddler with her partner and dog.
